| The Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy
Ministers of Malaysia (BAKTI) was in the forefront
in collecting and despatching medicine, food, milk
powder and other essential items to tsunami affected
people in Sri Lanka. Recently wife of Hon. Prime
Minister of Malaysia, Ybhg Datin Seri Paduka Endon
Mahmood handed over a consignment of medicine to
Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Minister of Finance & Planning
who was transitting at the KL International Airport.
Wife of Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datin
Seri Rosmah bte Mansor and Dr. P.B. Jayasundara,
Secretary, Ministry of Finance were also present. |

2004 to attend High Level Conference in Financial
Sector Issues in Emerging Markets in Asia: Role
of the International Monetary Fund held at the
Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur paid a
courtesy call on Y.A.B. Dato' Seri Haji MohdNajib
Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Hon. Deputy Prime Minister
and Minister of Defence of Malaysia on 13th October.
At the meeting the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and
the Hon. Minister discussed issues of mutual interests
to both countries.
