Sri Lanka Participated Malaysia International Tea & Coffee Expo 2014 (MITCE 2014)

The High Commission of Sri Lanka participated at the inaugural Malaysia International Tea & Coffee Expo 2014 (MITCE 2014) which held in Kuala Lumpur from 27th to 31 March. The fair was one of the unique tea and coffee promotional event in Malaysia co- organised by Tea Trade Association of Malaysia, Malaysia Muslim Restaurant Owners' Association and Perstauan Pengusaha Serbuk Kopi & Teh Selangor & W.P with the support of the High Commission of Sri Lanka, High Commission of Kenya and Embassies of Indonesia and Vietnam in Kuala Lumpur. More than 100 tea and coffee sector buyers and suppliers participated at the event.

The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Malaysia H.E. Ibrahim Ansar welcoming the 3 member National Youth Council delegation from Sri Lanka stated that Sri Lanka will gain immeasurable benefits hosting the World Conference on Youth in May 2014.  High Commissioner Ibrahim Ansar host a ceremony at the High Commission premises  yesterday (27th March) to welcome National Youth Council Delegation visited Malaysia in line with the delegation’s 40 day tour to 18 countries to promote the World Conference on Youth 2014, Colombo which is to be held from 6th- 10th May 2014.

Official website for Yala national park in Southern Sri Lanka launched yesterday in line with the Department of Wildlife’s ambitious drive to improve national parks., the official website for Yala National Park, was launched by Minister of Wildlife Resources Conservation Gamini Vijith Vijayamuni Zoysa at a special event to mark Wildlife Day.
